Look at your Facebook page link. If it looks like facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089..., nobody can remember it, and it looks like a page nobody finished setting up.
You can change it to something like facebook.com/SmithPlumbingJax. The part after the slash is called your page username.
Before you change it
- You need to be an admin of the page.
- Pick a name you'll keep. Facebook limits how often you can change it.
- Keep it close to your real business name. If it's taken, add your city or state, like SmithPlumbingJax.
- Your page name and your username are two different things. Changing one doesn't change the other.
How to change it
- Log in to Facebook and switch into your business page.
- Open Settings, then look for Page setup.
- Find Username and click edit.
- Type your new username. Facebook tells you if it's available.
- Save it, then open the new link to make sure it works.
Then update your old link
Put the new link everywhere the old one was: your website, your Google profile, your email signature, and anything printed. Don't count on the old link forwarding people to the new one.
